PalaLottomatica in Rome is a masterpiece of the Italian architecture. It was projected and built for the 1960 Olympic Games by Pierluigi Nervi. After a massive restoration, made by ForumNet Group, PalaLottomatica reopened in 2003. The main purpose in the renovation was to renew it while keeping the former project because the building is part of our architectural heritage. PalaLottomatica today is a multi-functional venue, with a maximum capacity of 11.500 people, which can host any kind of event, from concerts to fairs, from sports events such as basketball, boxing and volleyball matches and skating competitions to congresses and conventions.The Central Arena has a surface of 1.578 sqm (45 mt diameter). The so called Panoramic Ring, at the upper level, has a surface of 3.100 sqm and can host fairs, conventions and seated lunches with up to 2500 guests; for smaller events the Tevere Room (700 sqm.) is also avaible.The big external area of 20.000 sqm includes a panoramic terrace with a great view on Rome and a self-service restaurant. Some of the major events hosted at PalaLottomatica are concerts and shows such us Carlos Santana, Bob Dylan, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, Symply Red, Oasis, Joaquin Cortes dance show, Disney's family shows, national and international sports events such as Basketball Regular Season, the Final Four Volleyball World League, Volleyball Senior Men’s Eureopean 2005 Championship, the 50th World Roller Figure Skating Championship and the prestigious NBA Europe Live Tour, Volleyball Men's World Championship 2010.
