Wiener Stadthalle is Austria's largest arena for shows and sports events. The arena in Hall D of the multi-purpose building complex, opened in 1958, has a capacity of up to 16,000 persons. The list of stars who have appeared here is like the "Who's Who" of international sports, culture and entertainment. However, Wiener Stadthalle is more than "just a hall for events". The Stadthallenbad indoor pool, the two smaller halls for amateur and championship sports events as well as the ice-rink make it a whole complex providing a complete range of leisure-time sports facilities. Hall F with show stage has a capacitiy of 2,036 persons. Hall E, a multi-purpose hall with a capacity of 2,000 persons, rounds off the range of venues. Halls A and B as well as Hall C, the ice-rink, are available for training purposes as well as events open to the public.
